SeeGen AI Review 2026 : tarifications, modèles, API

SeeGen AI is a web studio and API from HaoApp Hong Kong Limited. It sells access to other companies' video and image models on one credit balance: ByteDance Seedance, Alibaba Wan, OpenAI GPT Image, Google's Nano Banana line, and ByteDance Seedream. You prompt in the browser, or you call the same models from your own product. There is no monthly subscription.

This review is based on the public site as it stood on October 10, 2026: the homepage generator, the model pages, the pricing table, the FAQ, and the Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode page. Promotional discounts on that day had countdown timers. Treat every dollar figure below as a snapshot, not a permanent rate card.

“The useful question is not whether SeeGen has the model. It is how many finished seconds you get after reference video, resolution, and the pack you actually bought.”

— Mihaly Varga, Boldly with AI

What SeeGen AI Is

The homepage calls itself an AI video and image generator, with a badge that reads official model and real face support. The generator sits on the landing page: a prompt box (up to 20,000 characters), image uploads, a video reference capped in the default Seedance 2.0 composer at 15 seconds, and up to three audio references. On the day of this review the default shot was Seedance 2 Pro, 16:9, 5 seconds, 720p, one video, priced at 200 credits.

Under that, the site is a catalog. Video tools cover text or image to video, first-and-last frame, multi-reference, a video editor, and an upscaler. Image tools sit in the same workspace. Developers get an API playground, docs, and credit packs that share the same balance as the website. The company publishes a gallery, prompt and upload guides, auto-recharge, and an affiliate program.

Public scale, as printed on the homepage: 76,000+ creators, 264,400+ videos and images, 70+ countries, and 480+ API concurrency. Support is email at [email protected] or Discord. The FAQ says replies usually land within one to seven business days. Enterprise quotes go to [email protected].

The Models on the Menu

SeeGen is a host, not a lab that trains its own flagship. The value is having the current commercial models in one login, with one credit wallet and one API.

Seedance 2.5, 2.0, Fast, and Mini

Seedance 2.5 went live on SeeGen on August 7, 2026. ByteDance's own release date, as SeeGen lists it next to Wan, is July 31, 2026. On this host it generates a single clip up to 30 seconds, with up to 50 references: 30 images, 10 videos, and 10 audio files. Audio can be uploaded on its own. Seedance 2.0 required audio to ride along with a video. The model page also claims stronger character, face, motion, camera, and scene continuity, targeted edits that keep the rest of the clip, and support for 10 languages.

Seedance 2.0 stays the middle option: up to 15 seconds, up to 9 images, 3 videos, and 3 audio references, with edit, extend, and reference workflows. Seedance 2.0 Mini uses the same reference caps as 2.0 and is priced at about half of Seedance 2.0. Fast sits between Mini and Pro on the rate card. SeeGen's own guidance is blunt: 2.5 for short dramas, ads, music videos, and complex continuity; 2.0 when you want a balance; Mini for social tests and volume.

Native resolution is not the same across those tiers. Seedance 2.5 outputs 480p, 720p, and 1080p natively. 2K and 4K on that model are upscale add-ons. Seedance 2.0 Pro can go native through 1080p and 4K, and the site says it has no native 2K. Fast and Mini are native at 480p and 720p. Kling is listed on the Seedance page as coming soon. It was not a live model in the generator during this review.

Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime

Wan 3.0 is Alibaba's model, launched August 6, 2026. On SeeGen it runs from 2 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p, or 1080p, 30 fps, with native dialogue, effects, ambience, and music. Inputs on this site are text, image, video, and audio: up to 10 images, 5 videos, and 5 audio files. Workflows are text-to-video, image-to-video, first and last frame, multi-reference, video edit, and video extend.

Wan 3.0 Prime is the same feature set at a higher price for faster generation. A five-second Wan 3.0 clip at 720p, with no reference video, costs 160 credits. The same Seedance 2.5 task costs 300. That gap is the practical reason Wan is on the platform: it is the cheaper 30-second, 1080p, native-audio engine when you do not need Seedance's larger reference stack.

SeeGen also says Wan is more willing than Seedance 2.5 to accept prompts about known characters, franchises, and styles. The same page tells you the rights problem does not move: you still need the rights to publish or sell the result. Content rules can change by platform.

GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana, Seedream

GPT Image 2.5, released by OpenAI on September 8, 2026, is on SeeGen as Flare and Sunburst. Flare is the faster generator. Sunburst is the one they point at precise edits. Both do text-to-image and reference images, with medium, high, x-high, and max quality, 1K / 2K / 4K presets, and PNG, JPEG, or WebP. The site warns that the delivered pixel size can differ from the preset name.

The image page is built around a production loop, not a toy prompt box. You can combine a sketch, a photo, and a style frame and say which one controls layout, identity, and color. Edits are instructed in prose: change the jacket, keep the face. SeeGen is honest that repeated edits drift, and that in-image text still needs a human spellcheck. It does not export GIFs. You generate frames, then assemble them elsewhere. The intended handoff is explicit: download the still, or pick it from the gallery, and send it to Seedance 2.5 as a reference or first frame.

Also on the image menu: GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2.1 (marked new), Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5.0 Lite, and Seedream 5.0 Pro. Each image in a batch is billed on its own.

How a Generation Is Actually Billed

The headline on the homepage is easy to misread: free trial of 200 credits, AI video from $0.04 per second. That floor is Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p, at the cheapest credit rate. It is not the price of the Seedance 2.5 Pro clip the hero is demonstrating.

SeeGen's formula, printed under the video table: cost equals output seconds plus reference-video seconds, times the rate for that model and resolution. Each reference video is rounded up to a whole second. Reference images and audio do not add billed duration. Turning generated audio off does not make the clip cheaper. Reference-video duration plus output duration cannot exceed 30 seconds.

Dollar prices on the table are calculated at the best, lowest credit rate. Smaller packs cost more per credit, so the same clip costs more if you bought the Starter pack. On October 10 the API-XL pack was $2,000 for 500,000 credits, which is $0.004 per credit. The Starter pack was $17.99 for 3,000 credits, about $0.006 per credit, roughly 50 percent more.

Video, per second, at the best credit rate

  • Seedance 2.5 Pro: $0.12 at 480p, $0.24 at 720p, $0.60 at 1080p. The 2K and 4K columns ($0.36 and $0.40) are upscale add-ons, not a cheaper native 4K render.
  • Seedance 2.0 Pro: $0.08, $0.16, $0.40, then $0.28 at 2K and $0.80 at 4K. Native tiers are 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K.
  • Seedance 2.0 Fast: $0.06, $0.13, $0.21, $0.25, $0.29. Native output is 480p and 720p.
  • Seedance 2.0 Mini: $0.04, $0.08, $0.16, $0.20, $0.24. Same native limit as Fast, and the source of the $0.04/second claim.
  • Wan 3.0 Prime: $0.09, $0.18, $0.36 through 1080p. No 2K or 4K column.
  • Wan 3.0: $0.06, $0.13, $0.26 through 1080p.

Those rates line up with the credit buttons. At $0.004 per credit, Seedance 2.0 Pro at 720p is 40 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 200 credits — the number on the homepage Generate button. Seedance 2.5 at 720p is 60 credits a second, so the same 5 seconds is 300 credits. Wan 3.0 at 720p is the 160-credit clip SeeGen uses in its own comparison.

What the pack video counts quietly assume

Every paid pack advertises a number of 5-second videos. Divide the credits by that count and you get about 160 credits per clip. That is a Wan 3.0 720p generation with no reference video. It is not a Seedance 2.5 clip.

  • XL Pack, 22,000 credits: marketed as 137+ five-second videos. At 300 credits each, that same pack is about 73 Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p, or 36 at native 1080p if 1080p is two and a half times the 720p rate.
  • Starter, 3,000 credits: about 19 of the cheap 5-second clips, or 10 Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p.
  • API Pack, 125,000 credits: about 781 of the 160-credit clips.
  • API-XL, 500,000 credits: about 3,125 of those clips.

A 15-second reference video plus a 15-second output is the 30-second ceiling, and you pay for both durations. A hero shot that leans on a motion reference can cost double the number in the marketing card before you touch 1080p.

Plans, as Listed on October 10, 2026

Credits do not expire. Creator packs include the website and the API. There is no seat fee. Several prices below were struck-through promotions with a live countdown, so they may already have moved.

  • Free: 200 credits after sign-up and joining Discord. The free card lists every major model family, no watermark, and commercial use. The FAQ answers the commercial question more narrowly and says paid users can use outputs for ads, social, marketing, and client work. Read the terms before you ship a client job on the free grant.
  • Starter: 3,000 credits for $17.99, down from $19.99.
  • XL: 22,000 credits for $99.99, down from $146.66, labeled full commercial license and best value per credit among the creator packs.
  • API: 125,000 credits for $500, down from $833, with 480+ concurrency and a playground.
  • API-XL: 500,000 credits for $2,000, down from $3,332. This is the rate the per-second table is built on.
  • Enterprise: custom credits, dedicated concurrency, and a quote from sales.

The 200-credit trial is one Seedance 2.0 Pro clip at 5 seconds and 720p, or one Wan 3.0 clip at that length and resolution with 40 credits left. It does not cover a single Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p. If you join to test 2.5, buy a pack or start on Mini, Fast, or Wan.

Image prices during the 33 percent sale

Image models were marked 33 percent off, with the old price struck through. These are the sale prices per image, at the best credit rate.

  • Nano Banana 2.1 and Nano Banana 2: $0.08 at 1K, $0.12 at 2K, $0.19 at 4K.
  • GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst, medium: $0.01, $0.03, and $0.04 across 1K, 2K, and 4K. High: $0.05, $0.09, $0.16. X-high: $0.09, $0.15, $0.27. Max: $0.20, $0.34, $0.62.
  • GPT Image 2, medium: $0.04, $0.09, $0.16. High: $0.19, $0.34, $0.62.
  • Nano Banana Pro: $0.16 at 1K and 2K, $0.30 at 4K.
  • Seedream 5.0 Lite: a flat $0.03 at 2K and 4K.
  • Seedream 5.0 Pro: $0.04 at 1K and $0.08 at 2K. No 4K price was listed.

Stills are cheap next to video, which is the correct order of operations: lock the frame with GPT Image, Nano Banana, or Seedream, then spend Seedance or Wan credits on motion you already believe in.

Draft Mode Is the Cost Control That Matters

Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode, released September 22, 2026, is the feature that makes the $0.60-per-second 1080p rate usable. You generate one or more 480p drafts, pick the take, and render a native 1080p final from that draft. Both steps are billed. You save money when several drafts die and only one becomes a final. Upscaling a finished low-res file is a different product. The final is a new 1080p generation guided by the draft, and SeeGen says it should stay close without matching every frame.

Their published 5-second example: four straight 1080p attempts cost $11.37. Four 480p drafts plus one 1080p final cost 57 percent less. The page also says you cannot treat Draft Mode as a path to a 720p or 4K master. The final it offers is 1080p. If you need 4K, the separate upscaler — generate at 720p, then upscale to 1080p, 2K, or 4K — is the other cheap path, and it is a sharpen, not a re-direct.

Real Faces, Commercial Use, and the API

Seedance 2.0 on SeeGen accepts real human images and video after a review. Once approved, those references can drive character spots, UGC-style ads, and product demos. That review step is the difference between a host that markets real-face support and a host that simply hopes the model does not refuse the upload.

The API is not a separate product tier hiding behind a sales call. Creator packs already include it. Larger API packs add concurrency (480+ on the listed packs, dedicated concurrency on enterprise) and the same models: Seedance 2 and 2.5, GPT Image 2 and 2.5, Nano Banana 2 and Pro, plus the rest of the video and image APIs. You pay credits as you go. Auto-recharge exists if you do not want jobs to die at zero.

Who Should Use It

  • Use SeeGen when you want Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 in one wallet, and you will actually switch models per shot. Wan for volume and native audio. Seedance 2.5 when the reference stack and the edit have to hold.
  • Use the API packs when a product needs concurrency without a monthly platform fee. The $0.004 credit is the number the public rate card is honest about.
  • Use Draft Mode any time the brief is not locked. Burning native 1080p on a guess is the expensive habit this site is designed to stop.
  • Use GPT Image 2.5 or Nano Banana first when the job is a poster, a product still, or a character frame. Motion is the costly step.
  • Skip it if you need Kling today. SeeGen says that model is coming soon.
  • Skip the free grant as a Seedance 2.5 test. Two hundred credits ends before that model starts at 720p.

If you already direct inside Boldly, the same decision lives in Film Studio: pick the edition for the shot, then spend duration on a still you trust. SeeGen is the alternative when you want the host's own Draft Mode, Wan 3.0, and a raw API key in the same checkout. For a model-level comparison of Seedance against Kling and Veo, see Seedance 2 vs Kling 3 vs Veo 3.1. For stills before you animate, see GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst in Image Studio.

A Practical Way to Spend the First Pack

  1. 1Sign up, join Discord, and spend the 200 credits on one Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.0 Pro test at 720p. Learn the composer before you touch 2.5.
  2. 2Buy the Starter pack only if you need a few client tests. Buy XL or an API pack if you are producing, because the per-credit price is the real discount.
  3. 3Generate the still in GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana, or Seedream. Name each reference by upload order so the edit does not wander.
  4. 4Draft the motion at 480p. Keep reference video short, because those seconds are billed and they count toward the 30-second cap.
  5. 5Render one 1080p final, or upscale a 720p winner if 4K is the delivery and you do not need a new performance.
  6. 6For anything with a real person, submit the reference for review before the shoot day, not during it.

SeeGen AI is a serious multi-model counter: transparent per-second math, credits that do not expire, web and API on the same balance, and a draft workflow that respects how expensive native 1080p Seedance 2.5 actually is. The site's own video counts describe the cheap Wan clip. Price your job off the model and resolution you will deliver, then the platform is easy to budget.
